Education Program Overview
We offer a variety of museum programs and workshops for groups of all sizes, ages, and interests.
Following the Alberta Curriculum, our school programs for Grades K-7 allow students to explore the unique history and geography of the Bow Valley.
Our annual summer camp, History and the Great Outdoors, includes a week of adventures around town, at the North-West Mounted Police Barracks, and the museum.
These 1-2 hour workshops let groups of different sizes, ages, and interests explore Canmore’s unique history and geology in fun and informal ways.
Our Roving Scientists can be found pointing out Canmore’s interesting geological features on local trails during weekends in the summer.
