Miners’ Day Parade

This midsummer tradition celebrates both the closing of the Canmore Mines (July 13, 1979) and the resilience of the men who worked the mines, and the families who founded the town of Canmore. The parade begins at 12 noon in front of the Northwest Mounted Police Barracks and proceeds down Main Street for two blocks before finishing on the civic centre plaza in front of the Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre.
