Description

Learn more about the Stoney Nakoda – their language, culture, and traditions – with an emphasis on place and identity.

CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS

This program can be adapted to meet a variety of curriculum objectives, including:

  • 1.2.1 Appreciating how stories and events of the past connect us to the present and recognizing how Indigenous communities are integral to Canada’s character.
  • 2.2.2 Appreciating how Indigenous people have influenced the development of our community.
  • 4.2 and 5.2 Understanding the stories, histories and people of Alberta and Canada.

Location: Canmore NWMP Barracks | Seasonsonal – May and June, September and October
Length: 90 minutes
