Join retired members of the RCMP to learn more about life in the Force and about the exciting history of the North-West Mounted Police officers who were stationed in Canmore. Mining was a dangerous occupation, and miners lived hard and played hard. The NWMP was first stationed in Canmore to discourage rowdiness among the mining community and illegal liquor transport on the railway.
