Each month the Canmore Museum features a local organization or community resource. We are excited to be highlighting the Bow Valley Immigration Partnership (BVIP) throughout the month of October. This October, our Community Day will be hosted on Friday, October 15, with admission free all day.

Throughout the day you can learn more about this incredible partnership organization and celebrate the diversity of our community! Learn about the ‘Stories of Resilience’ Project, capturing stories of local residents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an in-person drop-in event in our Discovery Hall.

Canmore has welcomed the world to our community since 1884. Our partnership with the Bow Valley Immigration Partnership continues our community’s long-standing tradition of welcoming and helping to support new arrivals to our community.

The Canmore Museum is participating in the Alberta Health Services COVID-19 Restrictions Exemptions Program; those wishing to join members of the BVIP in the museum’s Discovery Hall will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (from within 48 hours of the time of the program) or a valid doctor’s exemption letter and photo ID.
