MOVIE IN THE GARDENS: THE GOONIES
Get ready for a summer evening of adventure, nostalgia, and outdoor fun! The Canmore Museum is excited to launch our Movie in the Gardens series with a screening of the cult classic The Goonies (1985) in the historic and picturesque NWMP Barracks Heritage Gardens.
Follow a group of misfit kids as they stumble upon an old treasure map and embark on a wild journey full of traps, pirates, and plenty of heart. It’s a story about friendship, courage, and the thrill of discovery—perfect for families, date night, or a gathering of fellow Goonies fans.
🎟️ Admission is free, but registration is required to help us plan for space and snacks.
🍿 Popcorn and drinks will be available.
🪑 Don’t forget to bring your own blanket, camp chair, or something comfy to sit on!
This is the first of a three-part outdoor movie series happening this summer in the Heritage Gardens—so stay tuned for more evenings of movie magic under the stars.
This event is possible with support from the Town of Canmore’s Community Grants program.
