Join us at the historic Canmore Opera House for a special movie matinee screening of 1922 film The Valley of Silent Men. The event begin with a short introduction to the film by Mary Graham. Following the film screening, there will be a panel discussion including local Indigenous elders and relatives of the original cast members. Refreshments will be available.

Registration is required.

ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER

Mary Graham is a writer, documentary journalist, and film historian. She has appeared as a feature film specialist at CBC Radio and ARTE, the European Culture Channel. She presents frequently about her ongoing work on the importance of Indigenous contributions to Alberta film history in the media, and at universities, museums, and other public venues.

 

 

ABOUT THE FILM
