Giving Tuesday at the Canmore Museum

Giving Tuesday is a worldwide day of giving that celebrates community, kindness, and generosity. It’s a chance for individuals, families, and organizations to come together to make a meaningful impact. This year, the Canmore Museum is participating – and we’re inviting you to be part of it.

Our Goal

We aim to raise $10,000 this Giving Tuesday to support the museum’s exhibits, youth and adult programming, and the ongoing preservation of Canmore’s unique history. Every contribution, large or small, helps us continue to share the stories of our community and region.

Ways Your Contribution Helps

  • $2,500 – New Exhibits: Funds exciting exhibitions that explore the intersection of story, art and science with related educational programming.
  • $1,000 – Virtual Reality: Help us develop and deliver new virtual reality programming.
  • $500 – Indigenous Programming: Supports the development and delivery of programming in the Stoney community.
  • $250 – Summer Barracks Programming: Funds musicians, workshops, and guest speakers at our summer programs.
  • $100 – Community Garden: Supports our volunteer-run garden, which donates its harvest to the local food bank.
  • $50 – Preservation of Local History: Funds recording and transcribing stories from our community to preserve Canmore’s heritage.

You don’t need to donate to participate in the spirit of Giving Tuesday! Here are some ways to spread generosity in the Bow Valley:
