Interested in local history? Curious to explore new and old books alike? Wanting to dive into social, political and environmental topics of the past and present? Looking for a chance to have dynamic conversations with like-minded locals? Then The Stories of Canmore Book Club is for you!

On the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm over Zoom, we will be diving into sections of the writings of a new author on topics such as mining history, Indigenous reconciliation, exploration, local ecology, railway development, and RCMP history. By joining the The Stories of Canmore Book Club, you will be able to purchase the book of the month for 25% off in the Museum gift shop, virtually meet local writers and guest speakers, and have the chance to win monthly prizes.

Our book for October is Survival in Paradise : A Century of Coal Mining in the Bow Valley, and will be offered to those registering for all 3 of our book club events for 2020!
