Built in 1893, the Canmore NWMP Barracks brings to life one of Canada’s oldest and most iconic stories – the story of the North-West Mounted Police. Designated as a provincial historic site in 1990, the Barracks also is the focal point for programming related to the Stoney Nakoda and Truth and Reconcilliation for the Canmore Museum.
